I live in Ashtabula and will be happy to ask around for anyone who worked and Newberry's during the time frame that your biological mother was pregnant.

I didn't read all of your story as it is a bit wordy and, quite frankly, one-sided. One statement you made may have to be retracted some day--I'm not so sure your birth mom is so much of a "victim" as a "victimizer". Biologically, if your birth father were Spanish or Italian, the likely-hood of your being dark-eyed, with brown or black hair, and/or an olive skinned would be somewhat high as brown eyes and dark hair demonstrate genetic dominance 75% of the time.

I'll bet your mother remembers your father, or at least remembers the circumstances surrounding her pregnancy. Perhaps she is a victim of incest. Check for relatives of hers that may have been named "William David". Or perhaps she was raped or had an affair with a married man and is too embarrassed to own up to it. She should, for your sake, but maybe she can't bring herself too it.

Anyway, I'll do a little asking around. I think your biological mom is your best source for finally learning the truth, though. She's obviously hedging the issue.

Good Luck!
