Marge - Thank you for your posting concerning a McClellan in Ashland Co Ohio. Obvioulsy your Robert McClellan is not my William McClellan but I wonder if they're related in some way. I recall one time when I was looking around in local cemeteries on the web that there are McClellans buried in cemeteries in that area but not my William. My William had a son Robert but he was born in New Jersey probably in 1833 so would probably not have been getting married as early as 1848. I'm not even sure he lived to get to Ohio from New Jersey. However you say your two were born in 1832 so they were married very young as well. I've made a copy of your information just in case I come across anything that could link the two. Carol C.
