The Allen County, OH 1920 census, Ottawa township, Ward 2 (Lima), lists a George Stemen, b Indiana 1889, m to Pauline, b 1889 in OH. There are two children, Paul, age 10 and George, Jr., age 6. Looks like this is your guy. Allen County, IN is the Ft. Wayne area, not too far from Allen Co., OH. This census was taken on 8 January 1920.
On the 1930 Census, Pauline J. Stemen was head of household with the two boys. I have searched all my sources and George, Sr has seemed to disappear. Wish I could provide more. I'll keep him on my watch list.
(A Stemen or two is in my Leatherman/Custer line from Allen Co.)
