I am wondering if there is a way to research/look through the records from the Lima TB hospital. I have a great aunt and great uncle that died while there. My grandfather and his siblings spent time at the TB hospital when they were young. His sister died there in 1929 and I am wondering if it is possible to get the records for my grandfather and his siblings. My mother's uncle also died there in 1936. I am wondering if the records were destroyed or are they still in existence and available for research. I have my great aunt's death certificate and that was signed by a doctor at the TB hospital, however her name was misspelled on it. What my family is curious about is if the records would show our grandfather's actual birth date. He always said that he was born in 1916 and that due to a fire at the court house that his birth records were lost. He and his siblings were born in Waynesfield and I have been unable to confirm through Wapak records whether his birth certificate are available or not because I don't have the actual year. We have a photograph that disputes Grandpa's claims of being born in 1916 because it shows his sisters that were born in 1911 and 1917 standing beside him and the younger of the two girls is clearly older than Grandpa. Thus the man could not have been born in 1916. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been researching my family history for over 13 years now and enjoy the challenges that it creates, but need help on this issue.
Thanks in advance,
Peggy (Green) Lacy
