Mary Elizabeth Place, daughter of William and Mary Alexander Place was born in 1853 in Allen County.She had one child with John Byrd (Virginia Bell Byrd) on September 30, 1873. She is living with her dad, William, in the 1870 census in Amanda Twp.and is single. Sometime between 1870 and 1873 she marries John Bird. Tragically 5 years later she dies on February 9th 1878. In the 1880 census "Bell Byrd" is living with her Grandpa in Amanda Twp and John Byrd is no where in sight!. If anyone can help me solve this mystery, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks, Cindy
