Steve --

With the formation of Brown County in about 1818, Huntington Twp became a part of Brown County, but the records before then are in Adams County. There are nineteen Pauls and four Paulls in the Adams County Marriage Book I.

Also, in the index for "The History of Adams County 1900," there are two listings for Pauls, but I don't have time to search right now. It is online: http://www.heritagepursuit.com/

The Adams County Genealogical Society in West Union http://userpages.bright.net/~acgs/ does lookups for a nominal fee and may have files on the Paul family. There are still Pauls in the area as one of my classmates is married to a Paul.

Happy hunting,
Moss
