Mary and Thomas WHITE, 1817 indenture

I've recently run across an 1817 indenture of a Thomas White (aged four) of Adams County, to David White of Clermont County, by Thomas's mother Mary White.

The David White in question is David White, Sr. (ca. 1777-1851) of Ohio Township, Clermont County. The 1881 Everts history of Clermont County states that David Sr. first settled in Adams County before moving to Clermont County. This person is not to be confused with the *other* David White of Ohio Township, who was from New Jersey!

Has anyone here run across a Mary White in Adams County before 1820? I suspect she may be a sister-in-law of David White, Sr. and that the indenture was made due to the husband's death but at this point it's just a hypothesis.

Thanks very much in advance for any help you can give me!
