Looking for a woman named Earl who married Silas Grant ( a distant cousin of Ulysses S. Grant) in Adams or Washington County about 1830, after which they moved to Washington County Iowa. Silas had lived in NY, but may have English origins as well. Living close to them in Iowa were a Hiram and Hannah grant, possibly relatives. Daughter Sarah Jane born 1839/40 in Iowa.
