Reading Ferrol Sams book, When all the World Was Young....I ran across some information on Margaret Mitchels family, I thought they were living around Fayette County,Ga. where I was born and where Dr Sams was born and raised, however he states the Fitzgeralds, lived in Clayton county and that the mom was born in Ireland, her ancestors are buried in Fayette County,Georgia about 7 miles from Clayton County,Georgia.Since her ancestor was born in Ireland, do you think maybe Eleander/Eleanor Gray may have been somehow connected to or may have traveled to the U.S. with the Fitzgeralds, might be something for our young researchers to look into. Just a thought.
