Hello Ogletree Family: I am so happy to learn that this forum exist and I hope that someone will be able to share information or point me in the right direction. My grandmother was Ruth Ogletree from Stovall, GA-Meriwether Cty and she was the daughter of Moses Ogletree along with several bros and sis. Moses had a twin brother Jacob, and bros Newman,Reubin, Abram. I'm understanding that their parents were Abram(Abe)and Mary Ogletree.(cen 1870)I've been told father-Abe had a bro name Sam and that they were the only 2 of several kids that were not sold as slaves.I was told that their mother was Indian from VA and that they (Abe and Sam) were the children of the master "Ogletree".I've run into a dead end on attempting to learn the "id" of the master.Does anyone have infor that they could possible share with me? I actually started gathering info about 8 years ago when my dad passed away.I'd like to start documenting for my children.Much appreciative for any info you share.
