Hi, Dan!

Why am I not surprised that the Ogletrees and bootleg whiskey should be connected? According to my dad, the Ogletree men, at least, have always known how to have a good time. What did surprise me is that the family each took a drink at night and then again first thing in the morning.

One of my Burk cousins told me that she has seen several instances of accidental death from whiskey in the 19th century. It was caused by the way the whiskey was distilled and stored.

What a way to go...

Debbie
