Could you share your source on the Coffee Co., Tn. info. I believe that Joseph and his father John Ogles and families stayed in the Allen Co., Ky area. At least from birth to the 1860's anyway. John is buried in Allen Co., Ky. Joseph may have moved after 1860 as he is not in the census for Allen Co., after that. I will check on the Coffee Co., Tn. area and see what is there. Thanks....I am including some info I have found......
This is a copy from the 1860 census and shows that John is 2 doors away from J.E. and J.C. Ogles, still think they are sons of John, with names James and Joseph. Joseph did not appear with John in the census as he was already married.

***Joseph C. Ogles does appear in the 1850 census with Mary Jane Oxford in Allen Co.
Also if you go back to the 1840 census and compare the ages of all the sons and daughters with the one in the 1850 census from Allen Co., it would read,
