Kathi, In regards to your post about Coleman I Ogg, and where he was born. I grew up in the same house where he was born and reared. It is still standing today. In regards to where Reedsville was located. It was where Todds branch meets Clear Creek. There was a large tanyard located there from the early 1800s until about 1890. they employed about 200 people in the business. There was a post office, company store, saloon, etc.
I have been searching for a photo of the Reedsville community. Is it possible you have one or know where I might see one?
The post office was closed in the 1880s, then in the 1890s they opened another one about one half mile away called Disputanta. It closed in the 1970s.

Thanks,

James Cope
