I am interested in your enquiry because a Robert Allan Ogg, who lived in Glasgow in the late 1800s was Chairman of Copland & Lye, until 1971 a major department store on Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.
One of his children, Jenny, was married (date unknown) to my grandfather Edmund J.Petrie, a clergyman from New Pitsligo, in Aberdeenshire, and who moved to Glasgow as the first Minister of St.Margaret's Episcopal Church, Newlands, Glasgow.Robert Allan Ogg was responsible for financing the building of said church. My mother's name was Helen KELLY Petrie, and was born in Aberdeenshire around 1904, presumably moving to Glasgow when Canon Petrie took up his post in 1908.
If any of this information is of help, I would be very grateful for as much additional information as possible
