I am related to James Ogden, born July 9, 1798, KY who married Sarah Babbitt on 31 March 1825 in Scott Col, IN. Sarah Babbitt was born Mar 28 1804 in Fayette County, OH. Their children: Cyrus, Job, Joseph F., Mary, Stephen, James Harvey, William Harrison, Sarah A. and Oliver OGDEN. I am a descendant from their son Joseph F. Ogden who married Samantha Jane Babbitt. How are you connected to James and Sarah (Babbitt) Ogden? You may already know this but I wanted to let any Ogden/BABBITT descendants know that there is an update being compiled on the Babbitt Family History book that was written in 1912. See Babbitt.org for more information. Have been working on it for several years and the deadline is the end of Dec 2002. The Babbitt book traces Sarah (Babbitt) Ogden back to Edward Bobet/Babbitt born 1626 Wales, Great Britain, he came to America about 1643 Mass. I would like to exchange information on James Ogden also. I do have a little informaiton and his picture but do not know his parents names.
