Johnston Co., NC Will Abstracts 1746-1825 Vol. I (Elizabeth E. Rose) shows the will of Thomas Tomlinson dated Nov. 28, 1780. This will names Ann O' Neal (dau? married to Zachariah O' Neal?), Clarissa Ogburn (relationship unspecified) and leaves his land to Littleberry Ogburn. Bequests of livestock are made to Mary, Anna, Thomas and Joseph Ogburn. The wording of the will implies that these last named may have been grand-children.

This will also names bequests of one cow each to James Branan, Jr. and Harris Branan. I am descended from a Harris Brannen and believe this to be the same. Also, believe that his mother may have been a Tomlinson. Would appreciate any info on connections between the Tomlinsons, Brannens/Branans and the Ogburns. Phil Wedemeyer- Houston, Texas.
