Eileen,
I don't know if we touched base before. I did contact another person researching O'Gara's in the Chicago area. At any rate, here goes. Some names you mention are familiar, while others are not. My grandfather's sister, Sarah Judge, married Garrett O'gara in the mid 1880's. We found my great grandfather (Bernard Judge), great grandmother (Jane Judge), my grandfather (Bernard John Joseph Judge) and his sister Sarah Judge living with Garrett and his mother, Margaret in Braidwood, Illinois. I think it is a suburb of Chicago.
Sarah and Garrett had four children that we know of: Sarah Jane (known as Sadie), Bernard, Joseph and Mary Ellen (known as Nellie). Two of the children were born in the U.S., while the other two were born in Canada. Sarah Judge was born in Fort Erie, Canada (1863) and Garrett was born in England (1862) to Irish parents (Garrett and Margaret).
The only other info I've found is the younger Sarah working as a servant in Niagara Falls, New York, as listed in the 1900 census. That is right across the river from our home in Niagara Falls Canada.
Again, if I've contacted you before, please forgive my enthusiasm. If any of this info clicks with those you seek, please concact me.
Sincerely,
Rich Judge
