Dear Perry,
I am decended from John Austin & Charity Kendrick and I have been researching the Austin & Offutt families for a few years and I have no record of an Alexander Austin as the son of John Austin & Charity Kendrick. Do you have access to these bible records? I would love to see them. Much of my Austin info. came from the Austin's of America Society and the only Austin I have married to an Offutt that far back is Zachariah Austin, son of John Austin & Charity Kendrick. He was born 20 Jan. 1763 in Rock Creek, Frederick, Md. He died in 1830 in Ohio Co; Ky. He married Margaret Offutt in 1789 in Montgomery, Md.--Margaret had been previously married to Baruch Odle/Odell with whom she had 7 daughters. She had 7 sons to Zachariah Austin.
One of Zachariah Austin & Margaret Offut's sons, John Kendrick Austin b:21 May 1770 married one of Margaret's daughters from her marriage to Baruch Odle. Her name was
Cassandra Odle. If my info. is wrong, I would love to know about it. Perhaps we can help each other out.
