Seeking information on the Offutt Family in Ross County, OH. In the 1860 Federal Census of Union is listed the family of John E. Offutt, which included his wife Eliza (Pease), sons Charles, Henry and Phillip as well as daughter Deborah. According to the 1860/1870/1880Census as well as OH Death Certificate information for John's son Phillip M., John E. Offutt was born in OHIO. Daughter Deborah Offutt's Ohio Death Certificate stated that John Offutt was born in Martha's Vineyard but this may actually refer to her mother Eliza, as in the 1880 OH Fed Census for Clermont Cty Eliza's place of birth is listed as Mass. Any information would be helpful.
