Thank you for the correction.
The LDS Pedigree File by Karen Officer has Charles Gordon Reid OFFICER’s death as 25 January 1916 at Ramsgate, Kent, England. Is this the information you have? His son Colin was born in Aberdeen in 1910 .. do you know if CGRO was working away fom home or had moved to England?
This was a case of keyboard confusion on my part between the three CGROs:
- the one who was born 1 June 1904 in Aberdeen, son of Anne Cruickshank Scrimgeour, married Mary MacKay Watson and was KIA in 1943 and is commemorated at I.B. 10, Enfidaville War Cemetery, Tunisia;
- the one who was born 14 June 1876 at Aberdeen and died in 1916 at Ramsgate;
- and his son, born 28 June 1905 Aberdeen and married Mary Honor Crosland.
Findmypast.com index to outbound emigration from the UK has Marjory and her 4 sons travelling from Liverpool to Wellington and Bluff.
