August Oemcke was my grandfather he was a musician with the national orchestra in Auckland 1914 to 1947. He was known as Bill Oemcke. Naturalized in 1914 in Auckland. He had three daughters Rosaline and Ella Oemcke born in germany and Evie born in Newzealand. He was born in Nerzweiler Germany. He traveled as a musician world wide and came to Newzealand and married for a second time just before the first world war. Ella Oemcke had four children -Keith, June,Dan and Ngire. Rosaline married John Parkinson in Auckland and migrated to australia and had 8 children of which I am the only daughter. Evie married Jim Scobie and had two boys. They had a hotel in Auckland and granfather lived with them in his old age. I would love to contact any member of the family. In 1974 I travelled back to Germany to visit and made contact with my relatives there. I was the first person from our family to go back after they left in 1914. My mother kept in contact with her sisters till she died in 1953.The last contact was Old Par Road, Greylin. June Parkinson
