I did find a baptism record for a Sophia Wilhelmine Adolphine Auguste Oehmke whose mother was Johanne Sophia Trekel and J.J.F. Oehmke, from Tangrim, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, was the father. The date of Sophia's birth was 1 Sep 1867 and her baptism was listed as 12 Sep 1867. The record was found in the Evangelical Lutheran Church records, Dargun.
I could not connect the Tangrim family directly with mine but Tangrim is in the vicinity. It is a few miles north of Gnoien.
Since this family settled in Michigan, they might connect with Dave Wade's family since his ancestor settled in Michigan.
Wardow is further west of Tangrim. There probably is a common ancestor back a generation.I am curious.Where did you find the information on John J. Aulm? How did you discover that his name was Oemke and was from Wardow?Your information might help me find the original home of the Oehmcke/Oehmke/Oemcke family.
Will wait to hear from you.
