Oelke Family - Manistee, MI

Finally made a breakthrough - found the family in the 1900 census for Filer Twp., Manistee Cty. The name appears as "Elki" although I assume this to be a typo on the part of the enumerator. The husband's name was William, born in 1868 in Poland, wife's name Bertha, also born in Poland, possibly in 1868. Two sons, Fred (1884) and Paul (1886) were also born in Poland before the family emigrated to America in 1887. After arriving in Manistee, daughters Martha (1888), Anna (1891) and Louise (1893), as well as son Arthur (1897), were born.

Was a little surprised regarding Poland, having always assumed Germany. Does any of this information ring any bells, however faintly?
