Finding an old picture of a Grandma Oehler as put me on to a new
family surname. I still dont know who this lady is yet,but feel that I will in
good time.
. My cousin sent me some family documents and on a baptisimal
record of my aunt Rosella in Cincinnati,Ohio , it states that her
sponsers were Micheal Oehler and Rose Oehler, then I remembered
the pic with the name Oehler on it.UMMMM I said.I said to myself
parents usually picked family members to be sponsers to their children
when they were baptised.I think this was about 1908
So I came on here and saw several queries about Oehlers in
Cincinnati,Ohio,(my hometown )
I recieved a query from a person and she mentioned some info that I
knew about ,so I found a connection.
I went back over my data and now I feel like my great grandmother
Mary Ball born in Indiana in 1875 died 1920 in Cincinnati, was really an
Oehler. She was 35 years old on the 1910 census records and her
oldest child was 5 ,so this makes me think that this might not have
been her first marriage to have 5 children this late in life.
So to get to the point ,we now have a pic of Grandma Oehler ,Micheal
and Rose Oehler in Cincinnati,Ohio and an uncle that someone else
knows very closely. So I really feel that there is a connection somehow.
Does anyone have a Mary Oehler born abt. 1875 who married a Ball
and then later a Charles Miller?
I have a picture of Mary if anyone might recognise her. Mary and
Charles Miller also named my grandmother Louise and a son
Samuel,Robert,Rosella,Mary & Charles.
