Hi John. Thanks for responding to my query. Unfortunately I really haven't been able to find out exactly where my Oehlers came from in Germany. I have some info that they are from Saxony but that is it. Saxony is quite large but hopefully I will find more info to make my search easier. As for the spelling only Ohler/Oehler have been used by my branch of Oehlers. Unfortunately I have no info on Louis Oehler's parents or siblings if he had any. He was born in 1838 in Germany and died in 1922 in Bristol, CT, USA. His family listed no family info on his death certificate. So for now this is as far back I can go. I'll keep your info just in case I come across it again while searching for more on my Oehlers. Paula
