I believe that your Asa Odom born ca 1805 SC and the Assee Odam in Bossier Parish LA 1850 are one and the same.If so, he was married twice and had two sets of children. Early Co GA marriage records indicate that Asa Odom married 16 Mar 1843 Levisa Walker, born ca 1815 NC, and the 1850 LA census lists Levisa.
Asa Odom, b 1805 Edgefield Co SC, was the second son of Deldotha Odom (ca 1776 NC) who was in Edgefield Co SC in 1800 and 1810, but in Early Co GA before 1820, and remained there for the census of 1850.
It appears that other sons of Deldotha (his name has been spelled in so many ways) include Raford b 1814 SC who was in Tyler Co TX by 1850, Zadock Odom b 1815 NC who remained in Early Co GA 1850; and Green W. Odom b 1821 GA, who also remained in Early Co GA 1850.
This is NOT my family, so my info is somewhat limited.Hope this helps.
