William Odom and Susannah GRAY(?) Madison County, GA
I need information on the ODOM/ODUM families who were in Northeast Georgia BEFORE 1820, when Susanah Odom appears on the census of Madison County, GA. She is alleged to be Susannah GRAY and wife of William ODOM, who apparently died before 1820.
Three of their daughters married Streetmans:
Eady Odom married January 1823 to John W. Streetman, Madison County, GA.
Mary Odom married December 31, 1823 to Williamson Rutledge Streetman. She died on or a bit after December 17, 1827 when her son John R. Streetman (my gg grandfather) was born.
Williamson then married her sister, Nancy Odom, on February 3, 1828, and they eventually settled in Marion County, Alabama where they're buried near Harrison.
Madison County was created in 1811 out of Elbert, Franklin, Clarke, Jackson and Oglethorpe Counties, GA.I am interested in seeing if William Odom is recorded as having land in any of those counties. Thanks.
Will
