Hi,This is what I have on origin of name.thought I'd just throw it in.ODAM-ODOM-ODEM (English-Hebrew)One who came from Odeham (Ode's Homestead) in Devonshire; decendant of Adam, this being the Hebrew pronunciation of Adam; the son-in-law; one with red hair and ruddy complexion. There is an Odehame Coat of Arms.ODAM,ODEM,ODOM, ODUM Their is also a Coat of Arms according to Burke Benerse Armory: Sable-Three Knights Helmets-Argent.Explanation: Sable-Constancy(black); Helmets_Wisdom and Defense; Argents- Peace and Sincerity (silver).Odem, Odam, Odium local spelling Odiham, A parish in Hants, England, about 26 miles from Winchester, England. Oldham, a large metropolis of cotton spinning near Manchester, England. This spelling was the same as Odiham until the 17th century, then spelled Oldham.Thought this might be interesting to all of the different spellings.I just research all of the spellings, although there are more Odoms than Odams, Odems, or Odums. The spelling seems to vary from area to area and document to document.May be dependent on documenters mind-set.By By Judy
