It would appear we are related, although to what extent I'm not sure. Ottar Odland was my uncle - my father's oldest brother. I'm sorry to say Ottar passed away a few years ago. My father's parents were Severt and Elise Odland, and they farmed in Tysvaer. Dad's sister, Inga, and her husband purchased the farm from my grandfather, and it is still in their family, although they are now retired. The church in Tysvaer holds much information of our family's history. My dad did some genealogical research on our family some years back, and was able to trace the farm history back to the 1600's. He does not have internet access, but if you have some specific names you'd like me to research with him, please let me know.
