Hi!

I am the son of Wilbur C. Odland, who was a son of Erick H. Odland, who was the oldest son of Halvor E. Odland who came to SD and homesteaded near Meckling, SD. I live in Sioux Falls, SD.

I have visited the cemetery where Halvor and Martha are buried, near Meckling, SD.

I would like information about the ancestry and decendents of Jacob Odland SS (son of Severt) who lived in Norway. Apparently, Jacob owned a fleet of ships. Is that true? Is Severt a brother of Erik Halvorsen Odland (1781-1860)?
