Those references are the ones I found. I found an 1840 Osage Twnship, Morgan Co., Mo. listing for a Lewis Oder 30 to 40 yrs old, with three kids under 10 and a wife 20 to 30, but this is probably not your Louis because the kids are too old, right?
What do you make of the age differences in the 1870 and 1860 records? Was Louis born in 1804 or 1820? Also, have you looked at Cheryl Sears website? If not go to http://www.geocities.com/csears1116/ and click on Other Odor/Oder lines and then click on Lewis L. Oder, where someone is trying to trace this line. That site lists Louis Oder's wife as Elizabeth Ray. I am researching the Ray (Rea, Rhea) family. Do you have anything about Elizabeth Ray's genealogy? I'd appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks.
