The Joseph Oder, Jr., who served on the Virginia line in the Revolutionary War moved from Virginia to Kentucky no later than 1790. If Louis Oder was born in Va abt 1804, he was not Joseph's son.

I researched Louis Oder a few years back to see if I could tie him to any of the lines I'm related to. I failed to make a connection, but I have some notes on him. He appeared in a few census records before 1880 and served in the Civil War. Do you have those references? If not, let me know and I'll be glad to send them along.
