Ms. Grote, thanks a lot. It makes sense. The Andrew J. Austin is living with a William Oder age 29 and wife Louisa and children in 1850 Harrison County census(cousins?). Also with that family is James Oder age 24, brother of William it would seem. The William's Louisa and Sally Northcutt listed in the book are different. Sally Austin, daughter of Amelia Austin, married John Turner, Bourbon County, Kentucky, September 21, 1833. That would indicate that Mr. Austin was deceased. Sally died March 28, 1856, daughter of Obediah Austin and Am. Austin, she was living in Bourbon County 1850 with several children. The ___ Austin who married Charles Mann was Mary (Polly), my line. She named one of her daughters Amelia and one son Austin. Many of the Oder/Austin descendants still live in this area. Many thanks again for your references and consideration. Sherry Howard
