Ms. Howard,
The genealogy sources for the Oder Family that I have found, which are "Descendants of John McBride and Related Families" by Dwane Norris, 1982, and "Johnston Stapp and Allied Families" by Jennie Crow, 1979, list 10 children for Joseph Oder, Jr. The children listed are: Barnett Oder, m. Sally Bowles; William Oder, m. Sally Northcutt; Joseph Oder, m. Elizabeth Boone; Thomas Oder, m. Martha Walker; Polly Oder, m. Mr. Porter; Milly Oder, m. Mr. Austin; Sally Oder, m. Rice Miller; John Oder, m. Rachel Beelor; Martin Oder m. Huldah Coulson; and James Oder, m. 1) Elizabeth Walker, m. 2) Hannah McClure. Unfortunately I don't have documentary sources for these. I am hoping to get a copy of the will of Joseph Oder, Jr., from Harrison County, KY, but don't know if it lists all the children.
The "Johnston Stapp" genealogy has a little more information for the "Milly Odor" family ("Milly" evidently was a nickname for Amelia), but no more information on "Mr. Austin." Nine children are listed: Andrew J., Thomas, Archey, James, Obediah Austin, Sally who m. John Turner, Cynthia who m. Miner Hibler, Jane m. Mr. Bishop, and a dau. _____ m. Charley Manns.
Joseph Oder, Jr., died in 1833 in Harrison County, KY. There should be a copy of his will in the Clerk's Office in Cynthiana. Hope this helps.
