I am Icelandic, but one of my anchesters who migrated to Iceland as a tradesman from the "hansa-union" (germany) was named Kort Oders, he was the son of tradesman Lyder Oders and his wife Ursula, who lived in Lübeck, Germany. The surname Oders is taken from the river Oder/Odra, wich marks todays border between Germany and Poland, and lies through Lausitz (Lusatia) in Germany, where the slavonic minority called The "Sorbs" (Lusitski Srbi) live, the river also reaches down to the chech-republic... therefore the origin of my Oders is United from all those etnicities... U can e-mail me if U have any further Interrests on this message.
