I have been researching the Odor/Oder line in Virginia recently. The only Susan Oder I have discovered who was from Virginia in the mid-nineteenth century is Susan T. Oder,daughter of Edbert and Sarah Oder of Stafford County. She was listed in the 1870 Stafford County census at p. 44 and the 1860 census at p. 1. She was born abt 1854. Trouble is my notes say she married Gordon Robinson in Stafford County on June 8, 1875, so she's probably the wrong Susan for you. The Stafford County website has a lot of records about this line of Oders.
If you're sure your Susan Oder was born in Virginia, you might look for the surname spelled as Oden. The record keepers misspelled names often, and there are a lot of Odens in Culpeper and Warren Counties in the 1850's and afterward.
