I am trying to find the parents of Ewell Beagle, 17, farmer, who was counted with Elizabeth Oder, 44, (1816), in 1860 in Grant County, Cordova. I do not know who Elizabeth Oder is, but I have found the Oder family with the Porter family as well as the Beagle family.
Also in this 1860 census in Grant County, Cordova is Ewel Beagle, 36, farmer, KY, with Rebecca, 35, wife; Mary, 14; Martha, 12; Catharine, 10; Joannah, 9; Thomas, 5; and William J., one year old. I am familiar with this family, but I would like to know the connection (if there is any) with the seventeen year old Ewell. He would be the age for a son of Ewel Beagle, 36, but I have not seen his name in anyone's research. Ewell John Beagle was born March 27, 1843 in Kentucky (some researchers say Harrison County, but he is in Grant County in 1860.
The other Beagle family is a brother of Ewel Beagle, 36 (both are sons of Leroy Beagle and Sarah Porter). He is Joseph Beagle and is also living in Grant, Cordova, Kentucky in 1860. He is listed as a 27 year old farmer with wife Mary F., 23 years old, both born in Kentucky. Their daughter, Lola M., is only two months old.
Does anyone recognize this Ewell John Beagle, 17 or the Elizabeth Oder, 44 years old?
