I am looking for any info on the Oden's from Alabama. My great-grandfather's name is William Oden. He was from up around North Alabama. His son's name was John Calvin Oden.
He was born around 1890 in the Jefferson County area. I have been to the Samford University Lib. to look at the special collection that they have on the Oden's but it is not my branch of the tree. I have also been to the archives in Montgomery and they were not to be found. I know they existed cause here I am... Any one that I can or could have asked have passed away.
William Oden married a lady by the name of Lena Shaw. She was said to have been part or full blooded Indian. if any of this ring bells with anyone out there please email me with any info that you might have.
