I have been searching for many, many years for a very hard to find PETER W. ODELL. Relating his life bio in reverse, Peter died in Brooklyn, NY on July 17, 1885 and was also buried there. He lived in Brooklyn for 20 years, since 1865. Before that, he lived in lower Manhattan from the years 1852 – 1864. He married CATHERINE MCMAHON, abt 1854 and had five children born in New York City, Katherine, Amanda, Sarah, Walter and Ida. Two more children were born in Brooklyn, Peter Jr. and Charles. From my records he mysteriously arrived in Manhattan, NY in about 1852 from where I do not know.
