Hello David,

My maiden name was O'Dell the spelling also stressed as I
have spelled it when I was growing up. I do not believe
our family lines are related, but I found it very interesting that my Grandfather was David L. O'Dell in this
case the L. was for middle name Leonard. My David L. O'Dell was born in 1899 in Stone County, Missouri and died
1946 in Santa Clara Co. California. My great grandparents
remained in Missouri while my grandparents moved their family all to California. My O'Dell line as far back as
I have been able to find came from the New York area in the
early 1700's. Some migrated to Indiana then Missouri then
some to California. The names you have mentioned in your
line don't ring any bells for me but that doesn't mean that
our lines are not connected.

Please feel free to e-mail me direct.

Sharon J. O'Dell Estes
