My grandfather, Patrick Francis OConnor came to US when he was 5 years old with the Wren Family in 1900. Patrick never spoke of his parents or his family. Yet he did always keep contact with the Wren family of Syracuse NY. When the Wren's did their genaology, they stuck Patrick on the bottom not attached to any of their family.
We have 2 ideas. #1 - Patrick's mother was a maid in the OConnor house and got pregnant. #2 - We suppose his mother was then disowned by her parents, secretly married Patrick's father. We also suppose Patrick's father's family wouldn't accept him or the marriage.
We feel Patrick is related to the Wren's somehow, but don't know how.
I have more a few more details, but thought we'd throw Patrick's name out there.
