There is more than one Blackwater in Ireland.See Lewis' Dictionary online at http://www.booksulster.com/library/topog/b4.phphttp://www.booksulster.com/library/topog/b4.php (you'll have to either scroll down or do a page search to find the definitions of Blackwater).
There is also the Blackwater River Valley area of Ireland, which I know runs through County Cork (possibly other places as well).See http://www.blackwater.ie/http://www.blackwater.ie/
You'll probably have to keep digging for records of the family in the U.S. & hope one gives another clue to help narrow down to which Blackwater. With the Irish, I've had the best luck with the petitions of naturalization. So, if you ever determine that Timothy or his father became a U.S. citizen, try & track that down.I always order them from NARA in Waltham, MA (it's cheaper to order directly from them then by ordering online) http://www.archives.gov/northeast/boston/index.htmlhttp://www.archives.gov/northeast/boston/index.html
