Jack,
Names are familiar in your posting, but I don't have alot of info. Does any of this sound familiar in your family stories.
Mary/Marie O'Connor(b-Ireland?)married William Donahue and had a daughter Helen. Both parents died leaving a toddler Helen(b-Aug 10, 1887) to live with an aunt and uncle O'Connor in Bridgeport, CT. They had a daughter Anna who died in 1960's in a nursing home in the Bronx-I vaguely remember visiting her.She never married. The uncle worked in an Indian Museum in NY.(The museum opened in 1916-so sometime there after)He had a brother who was a captain on a boat to New York who had a son Daniel(b-1915 give or take 5yr)
As best I can put together, the O'Connor's had family in Boston, Worcester, Bridgeport, and NYC.
Helen married Matthew O'Connell and had three children.Hope you can help.
Good luck in your search,Barb
