Ann Elizabeth Darby was the daughter of Cyntha (Oxner) and John Darby. She was born 20 Jul 1831 in Newberry, SC. On 25 Oct 1849, she married James B. Brown. They had two known children: William Monroe Brown (b. 8 Feb 1851), and Mary Sophira Brown(b. 5 Nov 1853).
She had already died by the time the family packed up and migrated south to Mississippi. To my knowledge, her husband (and children) remained behind in Newberry. Ann passed away on 8 Nov 1856 in Newberry, SC.
