Thanks Jen for the info,
I did talk to Dave Ochsner and found a link with our families. His last relative was Balthasar Ochsner (1738-?) and married to Barbara Schmidli(n)? (1761-?) and had a son Michael Ochsner (1773-) The dates and people matched to my 6(great) grandfather who was a brother of Balthasar: Hans Ochsner (1744-) My tree goes one more generation back to his father Jakob Ochsner 1668-
I got my family tree from a distant cousin Adrian who lives in switzerland. His grandfather and my grandfather kept in touch and my father and his father kept in touch and now he and I keep in touch. I met him in Switzerland in Winterthur and he has visited over here.
It was also very funny that Dave Ochsner also has a son named Karl and that his son and I are about the same age and are both stay at home dads. Must be in the gene pool. Here is a link to my family tree. I started adding some of Dave's lineage to mine...
