hello laura , my great great grandpa was konrad oches also..from russia and was german ..my grandmother was one of his daurhters katherine who was the first daughter born to them in kansas..konrads wife was mary litzenberger according to grandmas death cert.there was a son konrad , a son phillip , daughter mary , daughter elizabeth who married joseph valouch in la cross kansas in 1906 and in 1910 they moved to canada with his dad and step-mother.. i have the news papers..born in kansas were katherine who married john valouche in la cross kansas 8 - 9 - 1909 , a son alexander ,and daughter clara they are all listed in the 1900 census rush county kansas pioneer township ..i also know there was a son manuel born in kansas after 1900 and died in kansas..according to old news papers dated 1910 they was still in kansas..i was told that the family moved to washington state or oregon..if anyone knows any of the family i have some pictures..thanks wanda
