My information (or disinformation) came from grandma Vella who passed away in 1991. I thought the information had been passed on from generation to generation but now I'm wondering. I do believe there is a copy of the Railey book floating around somewhere in our family and maybe somehow it was conjectured about passing the title and land to Matthew. I think our family had an early copy of the book due to Grandma, her mother, grandmother, etc. were directly mentioned as descendants of Alexander. I really don't know where Grandma came up with her stories, but I will ask my cousin Sherri Hamilton and see if she can shed some light.
