You have pointed out a very good point. This is where all the confussion comes into. There were 3 brothers, Alexander, Michael and Matthew. Michael died without an heir. Matthew had a son Matthew who married Catherine ? and they had a son named Isaac. Ms. Clementine's book shows Isaac as the son of Matthew Jr but no further record. Isaac went to Lewis County Virginia. Isaac was my great.. grandfather. I believe one of the Alexander's married a Blake woman, this makes two direct lines into the Three Brothers who came from Ayrshire Scotland.
