Thanks for your reply, Ralph.

With some help from family, I was able to get more information, and I did use the database that you suggested to obtain those records. The records that you found for Killargue were the correct ones, so I got another generation! Once I had the parents' names (Bernard O'Brien and Rose Forde) I was able to move back to 1780 on the Forde side, but still stuck on the O'Brien side.
Now I have an issue with Bernard O'Brien (B 1832 Drumahaire, co. Leitrim M. 30 Dec 1857) I can't seem to find any birth or marriage records for Bernard O'Brien Sr, but I did manage to locate a death record for him. I tried the IFHF databases and ancestry with no luck, I am still trying though! Hopefully with a bit of persistence, I will find more information, and that will enable me to find more records.
