Hello ancestor hunters!
My great grandmother Julia Leman (nee O'Brien)was married in Ballarat, Australia in 1855 and raised a large family with my great grandfather, Elias Leman. Julia's marriage certificate says she came from County Clare in Ireland. The O'Brien name apparently features prominently in County Clare history for centuries and probably millenia! I'd like to try and trace Julia's genealogy in Ireland. I plan to visit County Clare in 2010. Any pointers to where to start the hunt?? I know her year of birth but not her birth date, nor do I know when she emigrated to Australia. I know her parents were Patrick and Mary O'Brien and they were farmers....
